Fjordland extends zone at Woodjam

Vancouver — Fjordland Exploration (FEX-V) has intersected significant mineralization at the Woodjam copper-gold porphyry project in central British Columbia.

Hole 37 intersected 348.2 metres grading 0.82 gram gold and 0.12% copper, including 233.2 metres of 1.01 grams gold and 0.14% copper, starting from surface.

The hole extends the mineralized zone toward the east and at depth and was drilled perpendicular to holes 32-36. It was drilled 80 metres west of discovery hole 32, which hit 378 metres grading 0.81 gram gold and 0.12% copper.

Hole 37 also compares favourably with hole 33, which returned 0.62 gram gold and 0.09% copper.

Results from three more holes are pending.

The 45.5-sq.-km property is 30 km from Imperial Metals‘ (III-T) Mount Polley porphyry copper deposit. Fjordland can earn a 60% interest in Woodjam from Wildrose Resources (WRS-V).

The project is in the Quesnel trough mineral belt, which hosts numerous porphyry-style gold-copper deposits, including Northgate Minerals‘ (NGX-T) Kemess mine.
