Denison sell-off

Toronto-based Denison Mines (TSE) has put nearly 100 pieces of mobile mining equipment up for sale from its Elliot Lake uranium mine, following a downsizing of operations at the site earlier this year. A spokesman from Denison said the company expects to raise several million dollars from the surplus equipment sale which is being managed by a Sudbury-based firm.

He said the mining equipment became surplus in August after Denison decided to cut back production at its Elliot Lake uranium mine to 2.6 million lb. from 4.7 million lb.
