1993 A LOOK BACK — Brookbank appeal, Seabright ruling

Significant court rulings in 1993 included an appeal decision concerning the Brookbank gold project in northwestern Ontario and the Seabright case in Nova Scotia.

In a decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal, Metalore Resources (TSE) regained the right to earn a 100% interest in the Brookbank property from Ontex Resources (ASE).

In Nova Scotia, former directors of Seabright Resources won a lawsuit launched by Westminer Canada regarding a takeover of Seabright by Westminer in 1987. An appeal was heard late in 1993; the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal decision is expected by early spring.
