Obituary Art Hastie

Art Hastie, long-time prospector and stockbroker, died on Jan. 24. He was 85. Hastie was co-founder of O’Leary Malartic and D’Aragon Mines and co-staker of Chiboug Copper, McWatters and Elder Mines.

He was a resident of Noranda, Que. (1927-41) and later of Val d’Or, Que. (1944-63). In 1963 he moved to Toronto with his family. Hastie was a life member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
