Deception Lake drilling disappoints

A 10,000-ft. drill program by Northair Mines (TSE) is nearing completion on the Deception Lake lead-zinc-gold- silver prospect in northern Saskatchewan. Northair, which is earning a 51% interest in the property from Pine Channel Gold (VSE), said 22 holes totalling 6,300 ft. have tested the structure intermittently over 4,900 ft.

Northair reported that no intersections of significant base metals mineralization were encountered in the eight holes for which assay results have been received. Assays are still awaited for a hole where a 6.6-ft. intersection was visually estimated to contain 5% galena and 3% sphalerite.

Following completion of the initial program which included airborne and ground EM and Mag geophysical surveys, Northair intends to review and evaluate all data.
