The company recently completed a program of surface sampling and trenching on its Deception Lake claims, 183 km northwest of La Ronge, Sask.
The best sample from the trenching program averaged 3.65% zinc, 3.83% lead, and 0.57 oz silver per ton across a width of two metres. To date, total strike length of 360 metres has been exposed in a series of five trenches.
The lead-zinc mineralization is associated with pyroxenite veins occurring in the Rottenstone meta-sedimentary belt of rocks. There is up to 30% pyrrhotite and pyrite in the mineralization, along with small amounts of copper and gold.
Magnetic and electromagnetic surveys were completed over an 800-metre strike length along the zinc-bearing sulphide showings. The next phase of exploration work is being planned, the company said.
