Encouraged by a drilling campaign just concluding on the Courvan gold property near Val d’Or, Que., are partners Louvem Mines (52%), Courvan Mining (45%) and Aabarock Mining Resources (3%). The current drilling campaign started in October, with the objective of completing 15,000 ft of surface drilling. In other news, Louvem reports its exploration arm, Monicor Exploration, has acquired an option to obtain a 5% interest in the property (to be subtracted from Louvem’s interest) by spending $400,000 on exploration work by the end of February, 1988.
