Follow-up drilling

Sillimanite mineralization at both Clarendon and Otter Creek in Ontario has been mapped at 1:2500; a co-operative follow-up drilling program with the Tweed office of Ontario’s ministry of northern development and mines is planned for both sites. Also, a study of zinc values in various siliceous dolomites is under way, the purpose of the study to characterize those rock types which host significant zinc deposits and thus provide indicators to potentially economic zinc mineralization elsewhere. Airborne survey

The results of an airborne electromagnetic survey of a 3,850-sq- km area south of Dryden, Ont., have been released by the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. Funded largely by the Canada-Ontario Mineral Development Agreement, the mapping indicates fault lines and the distribution of certain types of rocks and minerals. It also locates 16,741 electromagnetical anomaly intercepts. Gradiometer surveys

In northwestern Ontario, gradiometer surveys have been completed over a total of 16,725 line km in the Kenora-Fort Frances area and over a total of 21,288 line km in the Beardmore-Geraldton area. The results should be available from the provincial government in both digital and map form by May of this year.
