COATS Trading Features (April 18, 1988)

Trading in Findore Minerals enabled the issue to top the volume list this week. More than 177,000 shares were traded to a high of 75 cents . Drilling on the company’s property in Garrison Twp., Ont., by option partners has intersected visible gold in several holes. The Findore ground covers a section of the Destor-Porcupine fault in an area of extremely active exploration.

Seaway Base Metals was also active, trading between 32 cents -44 cents on volume of 114,000 shares. Tarzan Gold shows no signs of letting up, as prices held around $1.70 on good volume. The company has acquired more grass-roots properties in the Ontario side of the Casa Berardi area.

Takeover target Tyranex was quiet at 50 cents -60 cents . Gunnar Gold has made an offer to acquire control of the company. Both are partners on a gold play near Shiningtree, Ont.
