The average yield on mining stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange as compiled by Moss, Lawson and Co. on prices of Oct 24 were up 0.05% at 1.93%. Last month this group yielded 1.88%, while one year ago the yield was 2.52%.
The yield on common stocks is up 0.24% at 3.40% and compares with 3.19% last month and 3.44% one year ago.
Preferred stocks remained unchanged at 7.78% and compared with 7.89% one month ago and 8.15% last year.
