JQA extended 100 metres

Drilling by Canarc Resource (CCM-T) at the Benzdorp property in Suriname has extended the known length of the JQA gold-copper stockwork by a further 100 metres.

Four holes drilled on the eastern extension of the mineralized zone intersected relatively low-grade gold mineralization, while three holes drilled farther to the east intersected unmineralized diorite and andesite. The drilling appears to close off the eastern extension of the zone and suggests grades may decrease in the area.

Hole 29 intersected three zones of gold mineralization (core lengths: 9.1 metres, 6.1 metres and 10.7 metres). Gold grades in these three zones ranged from 0.3 to 0.4 gram per tonne.

Three holes about the same distance east of the limit of earlier drilling intersected comparable grades over core lengths of 26-50 metres.

Drilling in the JQA area will now concentrate on extending the known mineralization at depth. Twenty-five holes will test depths of around 250 metres.

In the nearby Roche Kreek area, where a zone of high gold content had been detected in soil surveys, three holes failed to intersect any significant gold mineralization.
