Following the release of a new silver coin for collectors, the Royal Canadian Mint has rendered a 1-oz. gold wafer for investors.
The 24-carat item is 40.2 mm long, 24.2 mm wide and 1.717 mm thick. The coin is designed for investment purposes and has the same purity (0.9999 gold) as the Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin. The obverse of the wafer features the hallmark of the mint, whereas the reverse features the mint’s logo.
The wafer will be sold based on the price of gold, plus a premium, and be available through official Royal Canadian Mint bullion dealers and distributors.
