Virginiatown play taking shape for Armistice

Drill results from its gold property in Virginiatown, Ont., are lending encouragement to Armistice Resources (ME).

Definition drilling on the 185N zone, at a depth of 1,990 ft. below surface, indicates an average grade of 0.44 oz. gold per ton over a true width of 20.1 ft. This represents a considerable increase over previous drill results which indicated grades of up to 0.36 oz. over 7 ft., and significantly enhances the tonnage possibilities of the 185N zone. Drilling indicates the zone has an overall length of 310 ft.

The company plans to begin removing a bulk sample from this zone immediately, and the sample will be milled locally. Bulk samples will also be collected from the 100N and 260N zones.

Armistice is investigating the feasibility of reopening the mine after the bulk sampling.
