Cambior drilling Aurizon property

Surface drilling at the Sleeping Giant mine property north of Amos, Que., has verified the apparent south extension of the previously mined A vein, Cambior (TSE) and Aurizon Mines (TSE) reported.

Cambior, the operator, has been drilling the Aurizon property from surface and underground. It has five drill rigs underground testing zones to the north and northwest of the former mine’s surface facilities. The company is drilling from the 475-ft., 625-ft., 770-ft. and 1,360-ft. levels.

Among the results from recent underground drilling were seven feet of 1.3 oz. gold per ton (uncut) and 1 oz. (cut) from hole GD 91-34, 13 ft. of 0.36 oz. (uncut and cut) from hole GD 91-35 and five feet of 0.4 oz. (uncut and cut) from hole GD 91-37.

From surface, hole GD 91-48 cut 12 ft. of 0.26 oz. (uncut and cut).
