Junior Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) is being given a licence to explore an area 45 km south of San’a, Yemen.
The 237-sq-km property is underlain by a Tertiary-aged felsic-volcanic caldera complex. It features areas of extensive silica and kaolin alteration associated with shear zones and brecciation.
A report by Watts, Griffis and McQuat for the Yemen government says the area has potential for epithermal mineralization.
Several gold and pathfinder element geochemical anomalies were previously outlined by government surveys. Recently, 204 samples were collected in a follow-up program. Six of these were taken from dried river beds and contained visible gold in the panned concentrate fraction.
Owing to the size of the area, Lenora wants an affiliated company, RJK Explorations (TSE), along with other interested companies, to participate in the exploration work.
