Trench results have been received from the Choco-6 gold property in El Callao district in Venezuelas Guyana Shield, reports Gold Vessel Resources (ASE).
Three trenches, one of which represents a deepening of an earlier trench, were excavated on the Cerro Azul gold geochemical anomaly. The geochemical anomaly is believed to represent a saprolite zone overlying sheared tholeiitic basalts.
Significant results include: 38 metres at three grams gold per tonne in trench CTS100; 27 metres grading 0.9 grams gold in trench CTS90; and 0.3 grams gold over 44 metres in trench CTS80.
Trench CTS80 is on the northern extremity of the Cerro Azul anomaly where it weakens and is cut off by the Guasipati fault. To date, the Cerro Azul anomaly has been examined by six trenches and a further 10 trenches will be excavated prior to a diamond drill program.
Gold Vessel can earn a half interest in the 5,000-hectare property from Prominsur C.A., a private Venezuelan company, in consideration for three million Gold Vessel shares and
exploration expenditures of US$6 million.
