Cobatec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ego Resources (TSE), will allow Amalgamet Canada to market cobalt products produced at Ego’s recovery plant near Cobalt, Ont.
The plant, to come on-stream in the second quarter of 1994, will produce premium-grade cobalt metal and various high-value cobalt chemicals using Cobatec’s newly developed process.
Amalgamet is a member of the Preussag group.
