NEWS ROUNDUP — Treminco exploring properties

Exploration has begun on several gold properties near Yellowknife, N.W.T., belonging to Treminco Resources (TSE).

Geochemical sampling will be carried out over intensely altered areas adjacent to mineralized shear zones. One such area, discovered late last year, is next to a 1,000-ft.-wide shear zone that contains narrow, high-grade gold zones (assaying up to 2.88 oz. gold per ton over 3.3 ft.) as well as a broader, low-grade zone lying 3,000 ft. along strike.

Any favorable targets will be drill-tested this winter, the company says.
