Results from six drill holes completed on the Winnie Lake project near Kirkland Lake, Ont., have revealed interesting base metal values. In January, joint venture partners Pamorex Minerals (TSE) and Tundra Gold Mines (VSE) initiated a 7,500-ft. drilling program over the 20-claim group. As of Feb. 8, 10 holes had been completed over the E-W trending base metal zone that straddles the property. Results from the three best sections are: Width Copper Zinc Hole (ft.) (%) (%) TWL-90-05 29.7 2.91 2.06 TWL-90-09 5.0 2.25 2.56 TWL-90-10 7.7 2.25
A down-hole geophysical survey is being conducted to delineate the massive sulphide sections found in the drilling to date.
Meanwhile, Pamorex has entered into an agreement with Panthco Resources (COATS) for the exploration of Panthco’s 51-claim property in the Kirkland Lake gold camp. Pamorex will have the option to earn a 60% undivided interest in Panthco over a period of three years and 11 months.
In order to earn this interest, Pamorex will spend $500,000 on exploration and make scheduled cash payments totalling $225,000.
