Plant shutdowns in China and the cutback on shipments by that country have helped push the price of arsenic metal skyward to US$4.50 per lb. The price of arsenic metal was 60 cents in late December, Metals Week of New York reports. The main use of arsenic metal is as an alloy with lead to make shot for bullets.
