Scintilore Trio hit gold at Carlin bet

The two companies currently own 7,400 acres of land at Carlin known as the Rodeo Creek and Antelope Creek properties. Assays from a 2,300-ft assessment drill program on the Rodeo Creek block returned 25 ft of 0.05 oz gold per ton from 135-160 ft below surface.

A second hole drilled on the same block yielded 10 ft of grade 0.08 oz at 375-385 ft.

According to Trio Gold, two holes drilled on the 6,782-acre Antelope Creek block included a 90-ft intersection of anomalous gold at a depth of 260-350 ft, with the best intercept averaging 0.03 oz over 5 ft.

Pending the outcome of geophysical data compiled so far, the partners may decide that a major drill program is warranted.

Meanwhile, Trio says it is negotiating with several major mining companies in a bid to secure a joint venture partner for exploration on the company’s Adams Lake gold properties in British Columbia.

Trio holds a 100% working interest in about 14,000 acres and a 1% net smelter interest in an additional 6,500 acres in the vicinity of the Samatosum lead-zinc mine. The mine is owned by Minnova Inc. (TSE) and Rea Gold (TSE).
