The 97,000-acre property near Prince Albert covers several kimberlite pipes, the common host structure for diamonds. Corona Corp. had previously held an option on the property which led to the discovery of diamond-bearing kimberlite earlier this year. However, Corona determined that the kimberlite was uneconomic and dropped its option.
Cameco plans to carry out exploration programs, including drilling, which will examine several targets.
