COATS (over-the-counter) Dayton sheds 65 cents

Other losers this week included McNickel Inc. which dropped by 20 cents before closing at 60 cents . Additional drill results were released from the company’s Lac St. Jean property in Quebec, but they failed to generate much excitement. Exploration is continuing on adjacent claim blocks. Gold Bar Resources lost 30 cents to close at $1 on a volume of 30,200 shares in 16 transactions. The company is working on gold prospects in Chester Twp., Ont.

Recent drill results from a grassroots copper-molybdenum prospect owned by Windy Mountain Exploration in northern Quebec have sparked a little trading activity in that issue. A total of 24,800 Windy Mountain shares changed hands this week, but the issue closed unchanged at $2.25. Widths of up to 180 ft grading 0.55% copper and 0.11% molybdenum were reported in a drill hole a couple of weeks ago. The property lies in a relatively unexplored and remote area north of Chibougamau.

Having recently concluded a small private placement at $1.70 per share, Regal Goldfields gained 40 cents to close at $1.70 on moderate volume. The company is exploring some properties near Lac St. Jean, Que., and in northern Ontario.

Active again this week were the shares of Carolin Mines which gained 17 cents to close at 45 cents . Advancing by 35 cents was Young-Shannon Gold Mines. That issue closed at $1.50 on volume of 22,000 shares in six transactions.
