Excellent values have been secured in the No. 6 drill hole at the former property of Baldwin Kirkland, now operated by Lucky-Kirkland Gold Mines, S. L. Macdonald tells The Northern Miner.
The drill cut 11 ft of vein material at a vertical depth of about 230 ft and beyond the faulted zone which cut off the values going east on the 300-ft level. Spectacular free gold was noted in a 9-ft section of the core and an assay of $2,118.90 was secured at this point. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, May, 1938.
