Falconbridge Ltd. (TSE) plans to resume drilling this month on the Lac Rouleau, Que., gold project held with partner Beaufield Resources (TSE). The program will focus on the 18 zone which has been tested by 37 drill holes to date.
The previous drilling has outlined a gold mineralized zone striking for 200 m and dipping to a depth of 400 m, the partners say. Financing for Beaufield’s portion of the exploration costs is coming from a placement of flow-through shares which yielded $800,000.
Beaufield has also completed an option agreement with Beauchamps Exploration giving the latter company the right to earn a 50% interest in Beaufield’s interest in three properties. The claims, which are near the Lac Rouleau ground, are controlled by Kerr Addison Mines (TSE). Beaufield has the right to earn a 40% interest. Beauchamps can earn half of Beaufield’s interest by spending $700,000 on exploration.
