High grading assays have been received by Can-Mac Exploration and Glen Auden Resources from their gold properties in the Swayze area south of Timmins, Ont.
Stripping on the Topboot Lake property has exposed the Derraugh vein for 600 ft along strike. Channel samples across a width of 3.3 ft assayed up to 1.52 oz gold per ton. In a 13-ft wide channel sample, the section assayed 0.5 oz.
On the No 2 vein, located 1,000 ft north of the Derraugh vein, the zone was exposed along 164 ft of strike. Channel samples ranged up to 0.03 oz. Additional stripping followed by diamond drilling is scheduled to begin this spring, the partners say.
On the Saxton Lake property, surface exploration has led to the discovery of two shear zones up to 1,600 ft in width. Both zones carry anomalous gold values.
Can-Mac has the right to earn a 50% interest in the properties by spending $2 million on exploration over a 4-year period.
