Neptune claims in New Brunswick

Neptune Resources reports it has staked and recorded 40 claims on the Cape Spencer structure near St. John, N.B., in a project to be known as the Marigold project.

President M. K. Witte says the company plans a trenching program this year to test the potential of anomalous zones.

Ms Witte notes that hydrothermal alteration zones within the Cape Spencer structure are gold- bearing and host the Gordex gold deposit. Soil anomalies as high as 2,000 ppb gold have been located on the Marigold claims within the alteration zone, and rock chip samples have returned values as high as one gram per tonne, she says.
