A diamond drill program has been started by Fancamp Resources on the company’s Gamache Twp., Que., property. The property adjoins the Joe Mann gold mine brought into production this year by Meston Lake Resources.
Gold showings near the Meston- Fancamp common claim boundary have been traced onto Fancamp’s claims for a strike length of 1,600 ft, the company says. Chip samples across the zone have assayed 0.48 oz gold per ton across 1.5 ft and 0.2 oz gold across a 2.3-ft section, Fancamp says.
Near Joutel, Que., the company is completing a basal till sampling program designed to evaluate a 1,000-ft geophysical conductor. Another property located in Bearn Twp., Que., is in the process of being optioned by the company. The 5,000-acre claim block is near a gold discovery made by Sphinx Exploration this year.
