Brosnor plans exploration work on 3 properties

A $3-million exploration program for 1987 has been announced by Brosnor Exploration for three Quebec properties.

The Louvicourt Twp. gold property in northwestern Quebec will be the site of most of the work. The other two areas to benefit are the Belleterre property in Guillet Twp. in northwestern Quebec, and property in the Chibougamau region.

President Renaud Hinse reports the company has spent approximately $3.5 million on its Louvicourt and Belleterre properties during the past two years.

On the Louvicourt property, a 2,200-ft decline to a vertical depth of 300 ft has been completed to allow sampling of the Adelmont zone. Three gold zones have been found and 500,000 tons grading 0.15 oz gold per ton before dilution are indicated. In February of this year, the last drill hole completed intersected a new vein grading 0.37 oz.

In other news, Mr Hinse replaces Robert Lamontagne at the company’s top post, Mr Lamontagne having retired at the end of April after 20 years as president.

Also, Abcourt Mines, with 23% of the outstanding common shares of Brosnor, has become the principal shareholder of the company.
