IMA adds to portfolio

Junior IMA Exploration (IMR-V) has picked up additional ground in Argentina’s San Juan province.

The Vancouver-based company has negotiated the acquisition of the Mogote property, 70 km north of the region known as Pascua-Veladero. Covering almost 80 sq. km, the property adjoins the southern border of the prospective Vicuna gold property, held by Tenke Mining (TNK-T).

IMA will evaluate Mogote in October, when it resumes work in the Valle del Cura region. The company holds 10 properties in the region, two of which are under option to Barrick Gold (ABX-T), which can earn 50% of either by paying IMA US$250,000 and spending US$3 million.
