Ashton closes offering

Ashton Mining of Canada (ACA-T) has raised $5.7 million through a rights offering.

Approximately three-quarters of the net proceeds will be used to fund the company’s continuing exploration programs in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. During this past winter, Ashton discovered three more kimberlites in Alberta, plus one sill-like kimberlite body on the Roundrock property in the N.W.T. The first microdiamond results from these discoveries are expected in late June.
