EXPLORATION ROUNDUP — Fancamp to drill in southern Africa

A drill program is scheduled to test geophysical targets defined by Fancamp Resources (FNM-V) on the Proterozoic Okwa Terrane in Botswana.

The junior says some geophysical targets appear to represent possible ultrabasic intrusions favorable to nickel-copper mineralization, possible Sedex-type base-metal deposits in small fault-bounded basins, or structurally controlled gold deposits.

Larger and deeper targets, identified in previous programs, also are ready to be drill-tested.

Fancamp’s partner, Freewest Resources (FWR-T), has withdrawn from the Botswana joint venture in order to meet other financial commitments.

Freewest will retain a 5% carried interest in the licences.
