Golden Hemlock plans more drilling in Sinaloa

Having carried out a first phase of exploration on its San Jose de Gracia gold project in western Mexico, Golden Hemlock Resources (GHE-V) is preparing to conduct follow-up drilling.

The first phase consisted of drilling and trenching over three known areas of mineralization.

The Tres Amigos zone was mapped on surface for 1.4 km, and drilling to date has tested 350 km.

Among the highlights were hole 13, which intersected 18.6 metres grading 14.29 grams gold and 16.2 grams silver per tonne. The interval included two high-grade intercepts: one of 8.5 metres grading 29.92 grams gold, 22.8 grams silver and 0.47% copper; and another of 4.5 metres grading 54.26 grams gold, 39.36 grams silver and 0.79% copper.

Hole 14 was drilled to test a crosscutting structure, returning 9 metres of 0.7 gram gold, 13.3 grams silver and 0.4% copper, including 2.2 metres of 0.75 gram gold, 26.2 grams silver and 0.96% copper.

Hole 35 intersected 16.5 metres grading 3.9 grams gold, including 6 metres of 8.8 grams gold, 14.2 grams silver and 0.28% copper. Golden Hemlock believes this intercept indicates a minimum 250-Metre downdip extension from the surface outcrop of the vein.

Tres Amigos is open at depth and along strike.

A second zone, La Union, was tested with eight drill holes, revealing irregularity in thickness and grade.

Hole 27 returned 1 metre of 9 grams gold and 12.5 grams silver; hole 29 returned 3.1 grams of 4.5 grams gold, 8.6 grams silver and 0.11% copper; hole 30 intersected half a metre grading 12.9 grams gold, 25 grams silver and 0.81% copper, another half a metre of 3.7 grams gold, 177.2 grams silver and 5.22% copper, and 3.1 metres grading 4.6 grams gold, 9.1 grams silver and 0.5% copper; hole 31 returned 4 metres grading 2.8 grams gold, 6.7 grams silver and 0.34% copper; hole 33 intersected 4 metres of 1.9 grams gold and 2.8 grams silver, plus 4.3 metres of 1.4 grams gold and 6.8 grams silver; and hole 34 encountered 2 metres of 8.9 grams gold and 4.1 grams silver.

Follow-up drilling is planned for the Tres Amigos and Union zones, as well as for the structure known as Gossan Cap. Yet to be explored are the Prieta and Purisima zones.

Golden Hemlock is earning a 100% interest in the 3,500-ha property, situated in Sinaloa state. West Coast Mines retains a 24.9% net profits interest, on which Golden Hemlock holds a right of first refusal.
