Drills hit at Duquesne West

Recent drilling by Sante Fe Canadian Mining, a unit of Newmont Gold (NGC-N), has tested a geophysical anomaly at the Duquesne West gold property near Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.

The company is earning an interest in the project from junior partner, Globex Mining Enterprises (GMX-T).

Globex reports that hole 79 returned 13.9 metres grading 2.76 grams gold per tonne from 285.8 to 299.7 metres (which includes 4.3 metres of 7.22 grams) and 3.25 metres of 28.38 grams from 518 metres to 521.25 metres. More drilling is planned.
