Higher gold yield offsets slip in copper and nickel

Canadian production rates of gold, refined lead, refined zinc, salt and potash increased in November 1996 over levels recorded a year earlier.

However, output of silver, copper, nickel, primary lead, primary zinc and asbestos decreased.

The statistics shown below were compiled by Natural Resources Canada (NRC) and are included in the November 1996 issue of Production of Canada’s Leading Minerals.
