A drill program by Tri Origin Exploration (TOE-T) has doubled the length of mineralization associated with the Toms zone on the Lewis Ponds property in New South Wales, Australia.
The company says hole 67, drilled below the northern margin of the Toms zone, intersected 5 metres grading 0.1 gram gold and 15 grams silver per tonne, 0.09% copper, 0.78% lead and 2.41% zinc at a depth of 850 metres below surface. Other holes intersected copper-rich mineralization (up to 4.2% across 1 metre) which will be tested by further drilling.
The company says its current drill program has expanded the limits of mineralization at the Toms zone and generated exploration targets that may represent new lenses of mineralization.
At last report, the Toms zone deposit contained 1 million tonnes grading 1.95 grams gold, 214 grams silver, 0.3% copper, 5.36% lead and 7.91% zinc.
This deposit is 900 metres south of the Main zone, which contains 2.7 million tonnes of 3.6 grams gold, 123 grams silver, 0.21% copper, 2.56% lead and 4.17% zinc.
