Partners Trans Hex International and Ocean Resources (OCR-V) report that the newly installed plant is being commissioned at the Sunda Shelf diamond project, offshore from southeast Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The dredge is currently extracting the first sub-section of a planned 37,840-cubic-metre bulk-sample. The results of the first sub-section are expected later this month.
The company says the presence of clay had impaired the screening and jigging sections of the plant during the initial processing of gravels last fall. As a result, the washing section of the plant was modified. The jig plant capacity also was increased, to 45 from 35 cubic metres per hour.
