Two prospecting syndicates have optioned properties west and southwest of Voisey Bay, Labrador, to Tandem Resources (ME).
The junior can acquire a 90% interest in the properties by completing all necessary assessment work, with the vendors retaining a 10% interest and a 1.5% net smelter return royalty.
The 50-sq.-km Juillet property straddles the Newfoundland-Quebec border, about 145 km southwest of Voisey Bay. Several anomalies were detected in airborne magnetic mapping, while a surface gossan zone was investigated by Quebec government geologists.
On the same interprovincial border, about 110 km west of Voisey Bay, lies the 145-sq.-km Henrietta property. Government geologists in this area have uncovered angular, sulphide-bearing boulders.
Tandem has a crew on ground at the Juillet property, while similar work is scheduled to begin at Henrietta by September. Tandem also has a property about 100 km west of Voisey Bay, which it shares with Goldhunter Exploration (ASE).
