Drilling is under way at the Goodfish property near Kirkland Lake, Ont., where past drilling returned up to 0.49 oz. gold per ton across 41.5 ft.
Glencairn Explorations (ASE) is operating the current 5-hole program, with Southview Capital (ASE) holding an option to earn a half interest in the property by spending $500,000 over three years.
Meanwhile, Glencairn has optioned its Cape Smith copper-zinc property in northern Quebec to Rupert Resources (VSE), which can earn up to a 75% interest by spending $1 million over three years.
Last year, Glencairn outlined a mineralized belt at least 14 km long consisting of 23 known geophysical anomalies, most of which are covered by overburden. Surface grab samples on one of these, the Copper Chase anomaly, graded up to 6.8% copper and 5.4% zinc. Rupert plans to drill the anomalies this summer.
Cape Smith comprises 50 sq. km, and its geology has been compared to that of the Noranda copper camp in western Quebec.
