Bulk-testing of material from the Box and Athona deposits at the Goldfields gold project in northern Saskatchewan is complete, Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) reports.
Preliminary analysis of the gravity results indicates that the performance of the recent laboratory-scale tabling results on the gravity concentration has been confirmed in the semi-autogenous-grinding mill. The material from both deposits was found to be suitable for 1-stage grinding, which will produce a feed for the spiral concentrators.
The gravity concentrate fraction is projected to be 5% of the ore feed and contain 95% of the gold. Lenora says low-cost grinding and the high degree of concentration is expected to reduce the project’s capital and operating costs. Lakefield Research conducted the bulk-testing.
A feasibility study for the project is expected to be completed in June.
