Drills turn at Yamba Lake

Drilling has begun at Yamba Lake, near Yellowknife, N.W.T., where SouthernEra Resources (SUF-T) is hunting for diamonds.

The Yamba Lake property covers more than 62 sq. km and is 40 km from the Ekati mine. It is owned by Mill City International (MC-V), Tanqueray Resources (TQY-V) and Sola Resource (SLH-V) (formerly Techsite Strategies).

Last April, ground geophysical work tested 16 kimberlite-like targets identified by airborne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. Seven of the targets were subsequently selected for drilling.

SouthernEra can earn a 60% interest in the project by completing a bankable feasibility study by the end of 2006. The company may increase its interest to 65%.
