QPA convention

The 16th annual convention of the Quebec Prospectors Association will take place Sept. 12-14 at Val d’Or, Que. Theme of the conference, and topic of a panel conference on the Thursday morning following the annual meeting, will be “Mining exploration of the ’90s: growth or slow death?”.

Various other topics to be discussed include strategic planning, efficient evaluation and the new federal goods and services tax as it relates to mining exploration. Talks on numerous mining projects will be featured at the Friday sessions. Guest speaker at the Friday noon dinner will be Raymond Savoie, the Quebec government minister responsible for mines.
