Two officers of Western Quebec Mines (TSE) bought shares in December.

According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin of Jan. 7 and 14, officer and director Murray Pollitt exercised 60,000 warrants at $1 and bought 78,500 shares at $2.10-2.40 to hold 940,200 shares.

Director Barry Smith bought 20,000 shares at $2-2.15 to hold 122,700. Other transactions in November and December included:

Aur Resources (TSE) — Robert Bryce, senior officer, exercised 35,000 options at $3.75 and sold 35,000 shares at $4.40-5.62 to hold 3,200 shares. Echo Bay Mines (TSE) — Robert Calman, director, exercised 65,000 options at $5.75, disposed of 400 shares at US$13.25, and sold 65,000 shares at US$13.37-13.50 to hold 104,599 shares and 713,888 options. Raymond Jenner, senior officer, exercised 25,500 options at $7.71 and sold 25,000 shares at US$13.37-13.50 to hold 1,000 shares and 133,204 options.

Goldhunter Explorations (ASE) — Peter Purcell, director and officer, exercised 150,000 options at 23 cents each, bought 70,000 shares at 36 cents and sold 225,000 shares at 46 cents to hold 126,700 shares and 256,029 options.

Novicourt (TSE) — Pierre Gauthier, director, exercised 177,753 options at $2.40-3.48 and sold 175,000 shares at $4.10 to hold 2,753 shares and zero options.

Orcana Resources (VSE) — Barry McHale, senior officer, sold 11,000 shares at $0.85-1.09 and was granted 150,000 options at 65 cents each to hold 78,000 shares and 150,000 options.

Ontex Resources (ASE) — President Salvatore Fuda sold 600,000 shares at an undisclosed price to hold, directly and indirectly, 488,097 shares. Rea Gold (TSE) — Robert Heim, director, sold 15,500 shares at $1.45-1.50 to hold zero shares.

Scintilore Explorations (TSE) — Theodore Polisuk, officer and director, sold 13,000 shares at $2.80-2.90 to hold 153,200 shares.

Teck (TSE) — Michael Lipkewich, senior officer, sold 17,400 B shares at $21.35-23.50 to hold zero shares.

Viceroy Resource (TSE) — Paul Saxton, senior officer, exercised 10,000 options at $4 each and sold 10,000 shares at $11.37 to hold zero shares and 55,000 options.
