NEWS ROUNDUP — Soquem hits new zone on Vior land

A new gold zone has been intersected on the Douay North-West property near Joutel, Que.

Soquem is earning a 60% interest from Societe d’exploration miniere Vior (ME) by completing a drill program.

The section averaged 0.08 oz. gold per ton over 29.2 ft. at a depth between 134.5 and 163.7 ft. This included intercepts that ran 0.14 oz. over 7.5 ft. and 0.11 oz. over 10.3 ft.

Additional holes will be drilled on the zone shortly. The discovery is 0.8 miles north of the Douay-West zone, wholly owned by Vior, which contains 643,000 tons grading 0.29 oz. gold per ton.
