Two new mineralized zones, the Klewit zone and the Centennial prospect, have been found adjacent to Goldstack Resources’ (VSE) Yellowhammer copper-gold property in Gold Hill, Utah.
The Klewit zone, about 8,000 ft. east of the Yellowhammer property, is a silicified breccia zone in granodiorite. Systematic chip sampling of this zone has returned values up to 0.55 oz. gold per ton and 3.1 oz. silver. The company says that the mineralization in the Klewit zone appears amenable to open pit mining and heap leach processing.
The Centennial prospect, about 1,000 ft. west of the Yellowhammer pit, hosts copper sulphide mineralization in quartz-tourmaline breccias and veins. Recent surface samples have returned values up to 11.5% copper and 0.04 oz. gold.
Goldstack also announced that an airborne geophysical survey has recently been completed over its landholdings in the Gold Hill area. Several electromagnetic conductors were delineated, one of which coincides with the Klewit zone.
The two new zones and several other targets previously identified will be drill tested in the near future.
Negotiations are under way between Goldstack and Consolidated Golden Lion Resources to allow Consolidated Golden Lion the right to participate in the Gold Hill project.
