Timmins Nickel Sept 26

Results from the Hart property include 17.2 ft grading 0.89% nickel and 7.2 ft grading 2.77% nickel. Drilling has identified a 700-ft long low grading disseminated sulphide zone which warrants additional exploration.

The company has also purchased a 100% interest in the former producing Langmuir nickel mine, just east of the Tontine and Hart properties. A review of exploration data compiled by Noranda and Inco, the former owners of Langmuir, has revealed a previously unreported shoot in the south zone. The shoot, which extends for 400 ft, is defined by intersections of 8 ft grading 1.07% nickel, 65 ft assaying 1.76% nickel and 29 ft grading 1.37%. Other holes from the shoot include 17 ft grading 1.54% and 29 ft grading 1.82% nickel. Another 39-ft intersection assayed 1.55%.

A 30,000-ft drill program is scheduled to begin in October which will test the Tontine, Hart and Langmuir properties. Deep drilling is in progress at the Redstone mine which is operating at a rate of 400 tons per day. About 5 million lb of nickel will be produced this year. BHP-Utah Mines holds a 49% interest in the mine.
