Net smelter royalties owed to prospectors John Larche and Donald McKinnon from claims staked at the Hemlo gold camp in northern Ontario have not been paid since legal action was started by Scintilore Explorations (TSE) against the pair and four companies.
Scintilore, which launched its lawsuit in April, 1987, says it has been informed by Corona Corp. (TSE), Teck Corp. (TSE), Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) and H.G.M. Inc. that a court order will be sought allowing the four companies to pay into court, or an interest-bearing trust account, the said royalties. The four companies will make their request to the Supreme Court of Ontario on Aug 8.
Scintilore is suing Larche, McKinnon and the four companies, claiming all benefits and proceeds flowing to the two men from the major claims staked by or on behalf of them at Hemlo.
