50 Years Ago FEBRUARY, 1938 PAMOUR MILL READY FOR STEP-UP

Pamour Porcupine Mines steps into the really big tonnage class this month by increasing the mill rate to 1,500 tons from the current 800 tons daily. At this rating, the Noranda subsidiary will come into its own and show splendid profits on gold recovery that will probably run between $9,000 and $10,000 daily. The mine and mill are all ready for the step-up with final installation of the new ball mill scheduled for the middle of the month. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, February, 1938
