Surface exploration of the east Magnacon property, located west of Wawa, Ont., has unearthed several rich gold showings, partners Flanagan McAdam Resources (TSE), Muscocho Exlorations (TSE) and Windarra Minerals (VSE) report.
Stripping of overburden on the discovery showings, located 2.5 miles east of their Magnacon mine development, exposed two subparallel gold-bearing quartz veins spaced 10 ft apart. Stripped along strike for 130 ft, the veins yielded grab sample assays of 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.37 oz gold per ton. A channel sampling program is in progress.
Another vein located 250 ft east of the discovery veins, has been exposed for 120 ft. The first grab sample assayed 0.33 oz gold. A road has also been completed by the partners from the Magnacon mine site to the eastern property, which with the Magnacon project, protects more than 4.5 miles of favorable strike along the Mishibishu Lake shear zone.
