COATS Trading Features (September 07, 1987)

Wye Resources was stronger and active this week, trading up to 75 cents -80 cents . The company has completed a public offering which raised $525,000. The funds will go towards earning a 60% interest in a gold property west of Thunder Bay, Ont. One of the better holes from the project assayed 0.823 oz gold per ton across 13.1 ft. Atlantic Goldfields was also better at $4.30-$4.50. The company is active with several gold projects in the Maritimes.

Aggressive Mining has also come to life, trading on good volume. The issue closed at 40 cents -50 cents . New Bidlamaque Gold Mines was busy, trading as high as 30 cents before closing at 23 cents -28 cents . The company, which is in the Becker and Banting group of companies, has a 25% net profits royalty in a gold play in Bourlamaque Twp., Que.

Card Lake Resources remained sluggish at $1.10-$1.30. The company plans to resume drilling on its Harker-Holloway property shortly. Also, the company has acquired a group of claims in German Twp., Ont., which adjoin the Aquarius gold mine property owned by Asarco Ltd. The area is immediately east of Timmins.
